Enjoy Some Colorado Wineries
If you have yet to learn that Colorado is indeed a fine wine producing state, then it is time to come from under the rock in which you live. At first, the news of finding out that Colorado out of all places is producing wines will be a bit shocking considering the conditions of the climate. However, that shocking factor or reaction is quickly diminished after realizing that in specific areas like the western slope the conditions and weather is just right for growing grapes and everything else that it takes to produce fine wines.
With that said, the great Rocky Mountains and wineries are beyond an unbelievable, undeniable, surprisingly hard to resist, delightful combination. Across the beautiful state of Colorado, there are well over 60 wineries. The fun fact about most of them is that they are open for wine tasting and tours. When visiting Colorado, be sure to travel around the state to stop by as many of their fine wineries as possible. Before or after a long day of taking a hike will be the perfect time to squeeze in your visits.
